Concert Feedback

"We had Uwe Kind in Royal Oak, Michigan this November for one of the most memorable events of the year. Everything you said about him is so true. He's really remarkable. We are planning on having him back next year again. Try to get him for your school. You'll not be sorry."

"Uwe Kind's concerts build excitement!"

Gary Malerba, Daily Tribune

"Dear Colleagues,

Yesterday we had the distinct privilege of hosting Mr. Uwe Kind at our school for one of his famous concerts. What a wonderful experience! First and foremost, Uwe is one of the most genuine, kind, enthusiastic promoters of languages (especially German) you can hope to find. He had the kids (middle school as well as high school) actively involved the entire time. The kids left really charged up and so did the teachers. One of my classes had the honor of having him as their teacher for a class period in which he did a song from Deutsch Vergnuegen. The bell rang and no one moved! He is very organized, requires little equipment, very accommodating, (and) the type of person at the first meeting, you feel as if you've known for many years. With my highest recommendation do I write this. If anyone would like further information, please contact me privately."

"Uwe, you have done it again. Thanks a million for the excellent teacher Workshops and the successful ESOL concert. You inspired all of our teachers."

"Your book 'Tune in to English' is a smash hit at Udhailiyah School. Our Tesol students, at this remote desert outpost in Saudi Arabia, are even even singing your songs on the way to and from class. Owing to the fact that I am tone deaf and have a voice like an overgrown 'Alfalfa", the songs on the tape come in very handy. Thanks, Mr. Kind for making my job easier and more fun. It was a stroke of genius to cue really time tested tunes to truly usable instructional dialogs. I am recommending their use throughout the Aramco system. As a supplementary aid to Tesol instruction, "Tune in to English" deserves rave reviews."

"Uwe Kind just performed two concerts in Hudson, Wisconsin, this week. The auditorium was absolutely rocking! At the high school, there wasn't enough room on stage for all of the volunteers who wanted to participate. It was great!  The audience was also very involved."

"The German Club at Hopewell Valley High School hosted Uwe Kind in concert last Thursday, and it was an unqualified, overwhelming success. (we too had students literally storming the stage for every song to demonstrate along with Uwe). Uwe's energy and charisma on stage "electrified" the audience and had everyone up stomping, cheering, dancing, and singing. The performing arts teacher and the voice teacher both begged to bring their students in, who crammed in the back of the auditorium and sat on the floor in the aisles, and very enthusiastically "mitgesungen und mitgetanzt haben." My supervisor, (bless his soul!) brought his Spanish class! Here are a few comments from teachers of the other participating schools: 'I was amazed by the energy and enthusiasm that everyone displayed.' 'I heard the kids singing the songs all day today in the hall.' 'We went right back to class and all of the students could remember all the motions and words.' 'One of the middle school students wanted to know if Uwe is a professional dancer!' I can not begin to say what this has done for my program and for the programs of all of the other participating schools.

A presto.

At the Teatro Metastasio in Assisi in Umbria, more than 300 children warmly welcomed Uwe Kind, the German educator who approaches language learning through music and song. It 'was amazing to see so many students come up spontaneously on stage, dancing and singing a language that was completely unknown to many of them.' Surely these concerts are good for motivation, fun, and excitement, creating a good attitude towards the German language. We recommend them to all schools, especially in the early years of the course.
See you soon.
